My Mom and I. . .

I thought I was done blogging about Christmas, but then I remembered this picture was taken of my Mom and I while she was staying with us. I love her so much, she is my best girlfriend and I appreciate her in my life so very much. We had a great time together shopping, cooking and laughing together. She is an incredible mother and grandmother; we are lucky to have her in our lives. We continue to harass her into moving down here to be closer to us and we've almost got her convinced. I can't wait!

Christmas Day with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jerry and Aunt Fawn. . .

Christmas day was spent with our family. We played games, put new toys together, and ate until we were sick (at least I did!). It was a wonderful day. My favorite part of all the holidays was to be at home with my husband, our children, both of my parents, and Fawn and Jerry. We love you all so much. Thanks for sharing this special day with us. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Grandpa Rusty, Braden, Bryson put the foos-ball table together. We put Grandpa right to work assembling it. It turned into a four hour project! When Grandpa had to leave before it was finished, Uncle Jerry and JB finished it. Thanks for all your help; it wouldn't have gotten done without you all! We are having fun playing with it.
Grandpa and Grandma with the Baker kids. We love you guys. It was so much fun to have EVERYONE here!

Playing "I Spy" with the little kids. Bryson loves this game and will challenge anyone to a match. Watch out, he's really good at it!

Uncle Jerry and my Dad, Russ. Two handsome YOUNG men!

Two BEAUTIFUL Olsen women. My Mom, Connie, and Aunt Fawn.

Christmas Morning 2008

SCARY Santa in a sportscoat!
Ready to sing Karaoke.

Finally, her very own DS.

Playing dress-up.

Christmas 2008

Bryson with the "parking lot" his Grampa Rusty gave him.

Christmas morning 2008. BREANNA, not the youngest two, woke us up early, and sure enough, Santa had found our house!! He was very generous again this year and we all had a blast discovering what he had brought us. Breanna models her new coat.

"Looks like rain"

Santa delivers a Hummer to Braden. Braden thought he was so tricky this year. He refused to tell anyone what he asked Santa to bring him. When asked he said, "Santa knows what I want and he'll bring it to me." Well, he was right all along, Santa did know and brought him just what he wanted. Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brinley was so excited when the first thing she saw was her new doll house!!! She was barely awake, as we had to get her up to open presents!

Kids get a snow day. . .

Our beautiful snowy desert landscape west of our home. Breanna and her BFF, Kate, get crazy on their day off.

You don't see snow on a palm tree too often.

Two gorgeous snow bunnies!

Braden hiding behind his (little) snow fort. This was the first time in TEN years the schools closed for a snow day. The kids couldn't believe their good luck!!

Snow in St. George!!!

Yes, there has been snow in St. George before, but not like this! The FEW times it has snowed here it has melted in just a few hours. This time it snowed on and off for three days and then through the night. This is what we woke up to Thurs. morning. These are the three big pine trees in front of my house.
My beloved volleyball court in our backyard!

Our beautiful shade tree over my patio in my backyard.

This is a good picture of the depth of the snow. 3-4 inches on the rock in front of the house.

No more Tonsils for Bryson!!!

What a brave little boy! He had his tonsils and adnoids removed and had tubes put into his ears all in one surgery. He slept most of the first day. Do you blame him? Plus he was highly medicated!!
These are the five different medicines we had to give him three times a day.

Just chillin' on the couch.

Can you believe he's smiling after all that? You'd smile too if you could have unlimited ice-cream, popsicles, and jello at any time of the day!

He lived on this couch for four days. On fourth day he was feeling much better so I let him go to his pre-school Christmas party. They couldn't believe he was up and around. We are so proud of him!

Big Changes. . .

Hello family and friends! As of today, I am taking over the family blog! Hopefully, you will see more frequent updates of the comings and goings of the Baker family. Wish me luck, as I am new to the world of blogging! A big shout out and thanks to my good friend, Keri, who is helping to make this blog site beautiful. Thanks Keri!

Let me know what you think and any improvements I could make or fun things out there I could add. Remember, don't judge me too harshly, the blog (and me!) will always be a work in progress!! Love to all.

Here's what we've been up to the last 6 months!

Spending the weekend at the cabin

Grandma Connie rented this beautiful cabin in Fayete. We had fun playing cards and games with our cousins; Nathan, Daniel and Eliza. It snowed while we were there so the kids got to run around in it and throw a few snowballs at each other. A great time was had by all. Thanks Grandma Connie!
Braden and Breanna sleep in the loft.

Brinley and her 38 year old "cat". Go to sleep Brinley.

A smile between fights. These two are seldom this happy together.

Playing cards with Grandma Connie. She won!

Bryson's new best friend.

Aunt Carrie and Grandma Connie help Brinley make an ornament.

Braden loves Santa. Santa loves Braden.
